Vivian Asiello Obituary

Vivian loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed a good joke, had a great sense of humor, and was known for in instigating shenanigans. Vivian had a sweet tooth and enjoyed baking desserts with the grandchildren. She retired from Northern Tioga School District after many years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Michael Asiello Jr, children, Thomas Asiello of Corning, Christopher Asiello of Corning and Michelle (Erik) Varga of Texas, mother-in-law, Lorraine Asiello of Painted Post, brother, Carl Knickerbocker of Big Flats, sister-in-law, Carol "Lynna" (John) McCoy of North Carolina, grandchildren, Douglas Asiello, Elizabeth Varga, Eleanor Varga, Vincenzo and Lachlan Asiello, many beloved nieces and nephews, life long friend, Sue Haywood of Dansville, and her canine companion, Tripp. Vivian was predeceased by her brothers, Gary Knickerbocker, David Knickerbocker, brother-in-law, Albert Asiello Sr, and father-in-law, Michael Asiello Sr.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 East Pulteney Street, Corning, on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. A celebration of Vivian's life will follow there at 2:00 pm with Deacon Ray Defendorf officiating. Burial will take place at Rural Home Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Vivian's name may be sent to Big Flats Historical Society, 258 Hibbard Rd. Big Flats, NY 14814
