Vivian Atcheson Twilley, 84, of Dallas, passed away on June 12, 2025. Mrs. Twilley was born on December 22, 1940, in Dallas, Georgia, to Willis and Myrtice Atcheson. She graduated from Dallas High School in 1959, and the following year married William Darrell Twilley of Dallas, to whom she was married for 52 years and had one daughter. She worked as an X-ray technician at Paulding Memorial Hospital and later as an Administrative Assistant at Cobb Orthopedics before retiring in 1995. Mrs. Twilley was a member of North Paulding Baptist Church and was known for her great cooking and love of the Atlanta Braves.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Twilley; parents, Willis and Myrtice Atcheson; father- and mother-in-law, Bill and Melba Twilley; sisters, Irma Virginia Atcheson, Jeanette Clay, and Dot Ruff; brothers, Felton Atcheson and Johnny Atcheson; and son-in-law, Mike Akers.
She is survived by her daughter, Alissa Twilley Akers; granddaughter, Samantha Akers; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Judy Atcheson; sisters-in-law, Nancy Aiken and Sarah Twilley; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th from 12 pm – 2 pm with the funeral services immediately following at Benson Funeral Home.
The Pallbearers will be Paul Atcheson, John Atcheson, Shane Johnson, Brent Johnson, Cooper Atcheson, Jess Twilley, Jonas Lagana, David Bell, and Todd Chambley.
