W. Andrew "Andy" Plank

W. Andrew "Andy" Plank, 59, passed away peacefully, with his wife by his side on October 5, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospice. Family was the cornerstone of Andy's life. Andy found his soulmate in Tina Lee (Paige) Plank, who was the love of his life. Together, they just recently celebrated 33 years of loving marriage this past September 28th. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of the late Robert W. Plank, Jr. and Ellen (Haggard) Plank of West Chester. Andy's journey began as a proud graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1982. His thirst for knowledge and passion for business led him to earn a BS in Business from Temple University, followed by an MBA from Lehigh University in 1995. Andy's professional life was dedicated to the steel and cement industry for 25 years before he embarked on a new adventure, owning and operating Blue Eagle Logistics with his beloved wife, Tina, since 2013.
A faithful member of Grace Church in Bethlehem Twp., Andy's commitment to his faith and community was evident in all he did. He was a dedicated volunteer with many organizations, including Habitat for Humanity. He was actively involved with the Entrepreneurs' Organization, Philadelphia Chapter, which fostered deep friendships via learning opportunities and shared experiences. His love for golf and camaraderie was displayed as a long-standing member of the Saucon Valley Country Club since 2002, where he also enjoyed participating in the bowling league.
Andy's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. An avid reader, he found solace and adventure within the pages of books. His creativity shone through in the intricate model railroad sets he built, a hobby that reflected his attention to detail and patience. A true sports enthusiast, Andy was a lifelong Redskins and Phillies fan, sharing his love for the games with friends and family alike.
Traveling with Tina was one of Andy's greatest pleasures. Together, they explored new places, creating memories that will be treasured forever. His gentle presence and generous nature made him a friend to many, including his extended "Blue Eagle family," who will deeply miss his guidance and friendship.
Survivors: In addition to his loving mother and wife, Andy will be remembered by his children, Chad Paige of Clifton Park, NY, and Andrea Plank (Melissa) of Hatboro. Andy's legacy continues through his adored granddaughters, Lily and Aria, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by sister Betsy Ackermann (John) of Yulee, FL; he was a brother-in-law to Vicki Hill (Stuart), Tammy Paige, and Bill Neibuhr. He was also a cherished uncle to Matt Barrell (Angie), Angel Keil (Eric), and their daughter Autumn. His son Samuel K. Plank and his sister-in-law Lee Ann Neibuhr preceded him in death.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday October 12, 2024 at Grace Church, 4301 Hecktown Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6-8:00 PM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 and again on Saturday at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service in church.
