Wade W. Epperson, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on November 19,2024. Wade was a devoted husband, father, Pappy, and brother who brought joy and love to all who knew him. His passion for classic cars was matched only by his love for family, as he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and created lasting memories with them. Wade often expressed that his wife, Margie, was his best friend, a testament to their deep bond.
Born on January 7, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, Wade was the son of James Epperson and Nina (Oller) Oakes. He was preceded in death by his father, James Richard Epperson; mother, Nina Oakes; and brothers, Roy and Levi Epperson.
Wade is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Margie Epperson; children Jason (Christine) Epperson, Carrie (David) Sullivan, Jason (April) Sedoris, and Amy Noon; along with 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his 7 siblings and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Visitation for Wade will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of Wade's life will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
