WALTER THALES “BUDDY” BACON, age 86, of New Market, TN went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 13, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a member of Nances Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Bacon; parents, Walter Samuel “Poss” Bacon and Olive Bishop Bacon; sisters, Faye Strader and Anna Ruth Ward. He is survived by his wife, Faye Seals Bacon; son, Wendell “Scott” Bacon (Susan); daughter, Darlene Jett (Garry); son, Darrell Bacon (Tammy); sisters, Gail Blevins and Doris Hodge; step-sons, David Dwayne Seals (Tammy), James Darryl Lewis (Rebecca), and Michael Whitaker (Deborah); grandchildren, Danielle Manning (Matthew), Katy Bridgewater (Austin), Tyler Bacon (Tabatha), Cody Bacon (Shantel), Shade Jett (Dakota), Dylan Bacon (Jessica); step-grandsons, James Lewis, Michael Seals and Jonathan Seals; great-grandchildren, Kinley Manning, Harlynn Manning, Gavin Bridgewater, Grayden Bridgewater, Aiden Bacon, Riley Bacon, Madalyn Bacon, Blair Bacon, Wade Bacon, Noah Bacon, and Evelyn Jett; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; and a host of other family and friends. The family wishes to thank Amedisys Home Health nurses, Rachel, Tyler. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Rev. Derrick Woods officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
