Walter A. Thomas

Walter Andrew Thomas, age 69 of Port Huron, passed away on August 17, 2025, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was born on January 27, 1956 in Port Huron to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Thomas. Walter enjoyed fishing, gardening, music and playing poker. He took great pleasure helping others out, that couldn't do for themselves. He loved spending time with his family and he adored his kitten, Ally. He is survived by his sisters; Geraldine Thomas and Bonnie Thomas, nieces and nephews; Dave (Kay) Thomas, Louis Hinojosa, Sabrina Hinojosa, Edwin Samson, Joshua Samson, Andrew (Sammy) Hinojosa, Madison Thomas, Niklas Thomas and Payton Thomas, great nieces and nephew; Isabella Arnold, Eliana Arnold, Katelyn Hinojosa and Myles Hinojosa. He was preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Thomas and sister, Deborah Lee Galvan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday - October 11, 2025 at 11:00am in the Grace Episcopal Church - 1213 Sixth St. Port Huron. The memorial visitation will be from 10:30am until time of service at 11:00am. There will be a light luncheon following the service. Arrangements in care of Jowett Funeral Home - Port Huron.
