Wanda Dixon Obituary
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport with burial to follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Pastor Craig Erb will officiate. Pallbearers will include Rob Hawkins, Price Dixon, Trey Hawkins, Chase Hawkins, Raby Hawkins, and Carter Hawkins.
Wanda was born on March 19, 1940, to Gladys Green Hudson and Edgbert Hudson in Bridgeport. A lifelong resident of Wise County, she graduated Bridgeport High School and was very active in her school years, becoming Miss Wise County her senior year. Wanda was united in marriage to James Luther "Dickie" Dixon on April 26, 1986 in Graford, Texas. She was retired owner of Hudson Butane and Hudson Fuels and operated both companies for many years. Wanda was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be missed dearly by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgbert and Gladys Hudson; her brother, Tommy Hudson; her sons, Bert and Brant Hawkins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Dixon, her sons, Rob Hawkins and Price Dixon; daughter-in-law, Stacey Hawkins; her grandchildren, Trey Hawkins and fiancé, Bri Morrow, Chase Hawkins, Tiffany Hawkins and fiancé, Luke Condron, Raby Hawkins and wife, Kelsey; her great-grandchildren, Hollyn, Carter, Hazel and Hunter Hawkins.
