Wanda Talbot, 91, of Wallingford, formerly of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on October 13th, 2024.
Wanda Talbot is survived by her son Adam Talbot, her grandsons Harrison Talbot (Jessica Lamey) and Stephen Talbot and her great grandson, Parker Talbot. She is also survived by her brothers Joseph Sulecki (Jean) and John Sulecki (Denise) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Wanda is also survived by her long- time brother and sister-in law Jim and Eleanor Talbot.
Mrs. Talbot is predeceased by her loving husband, Harold (Adge) Talbot, her son, Steven Talbot, her parents Leon and Josephine Sulecki, her sisters Mary Helinski and Dorothy Korab and her brothers Larry Sulecki and Robert (Bucky) Pietluck.
Wanda was born in Swedeland, PA (Montogomery County) and moved to Chester, PA (Delaware County) with her family when she was young.
She attended Dewy School in Chester and graduated from Chester High School where she was active in sports and was a majorette in the high school band. She often reminisced about the great times she had in high school and growing up in Chester.
After high school Wanda took on odd jobs to support her husband who was enrolled in the chemical engineering program at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. As time went on, she worked as a dental assistant for many years.
Wanda was also a homemaker who made beautiful arts and crafts, including counted cross stitch, stained glass ornaments and painting by number. Her paint by number of Norman Rockwell's Doctor and The Doll is amazing. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, home decorating and yard work. She loved being outside.
After her retirement from dentistry, Wanda volunteered at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, PA. for many years with her dear friend Claire Kingsley.
Mrs. Talbot was fiercely patriotic and very family oriented. After her mother passed away, she and her bother John would gather the family up every year to carry on the Polish tradition of oplatek on Christmas Eve that her mother had carried on.
Wanda loved traveling to Florida in the winter to spend a few weeks with her good friends to relax and have fun in the sunshine state.
In her later years, she enjoyed many visits to Maris Grove in Glen Mills with her loving companion Guy (Gibby) Sileo who was also a classmate at Chester High and best friend to her late husband Adge.
While Wanda was ill her niece Valerie Kinsley took especially good care of her. A special thanks goes out to Val.
Friends are invited to attend her memorial visitation on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford, where Mass will be at 11:00 AM. Internment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Food for the Poor.

I am so sad to lose my friend and neighbor of 15 years. Wanda was a wonderful caring neighbor who made me laugh when she would tell it like it is. She pulled no punches. I will miss her terribly. May she rest in peace with the Lord in Heaven. Love you my friend.
