Warren Dean Hanson

Warren Dean Hanson, 73, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was born on January 26, 1951, in Milaca, Minnesota, to Clarence "Buster" Hanson and Bernice 'Corey' Hanson. He was raised on the family farm, where he learned the values of hard work and generosity that would define his life.
Warren worked as a dairy farmer and block layer, dedicating himself to providing for his family and ensuring that the needs of others were always met before his own. He was a man of strong character, known for his kind heart, his storytelling, and his endless supply of jokes. His ability to bring smiles to those around him was a gift he shared generously.
In 2012, Warren suffered a stroke that changed the course of his life. He spent the last 12 years in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Clare Living Community of Mora. We are very thankful for their staff and care that Warren received. Despite the challenges he faced, Warren continued to be a source of strength and love for his family, who were by his side until the very end.
His family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, especially to Gabi, whose kindness and compassion made Warren's final moments peaceful.
Warren is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bernice Hanson, his brother-in-law, Ralph Johnson, and his sister-in-law Marcia Hanson. He is survived by his siblings Diane Johnson and Richard Hanson; his children, Dena Hanson, Ravi (Jessica) Hanson, Jamie Johnson, Jennifer (Will) Jaspers; and his cherished grandchildren, Brodie, Chase, Kamron, Jaelee, Liam, and Rowan. He is also remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Warren's life will be held in the summer of 2025 at the Hanson Family Farm in Ogilvie, Minnesota. The exact date will be announced at a later time.
Warren's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of kindness, laughter, and hard work will not be forgotten.
