Warren Alan Matthews

Warren A. Matthews 86 of Bartonsville, PA passed away peacefully at St. Lukes Hospital in Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday June 18, 2022.
Preceded in death by his beloved grandson John R. Donahue.
Survived by his three children, two daughters, Bobbi Jean Donahue and Lori Dunning, and his son John Dunning.
He also had seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Born in the town of Lackawanna NY on May 27, 1936. He was the youngest of five children born to Edwin Matthews and Mary Edna Rodgers (Edna).
He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the army. He held various jobs including a traveling salesman, working at a meat packing plant and an instructor of dance which included "Swing Dance". He then found the job he would fall in love with at M&G Convoy, hauling cars on a car carrier for many many years. He also drove tankers and a flatbed which was his favorite.
Warren relocated to Mt. Pocono, PA with his dearly loved family in 1971. Although he loved his long distance driving job, he always said he would think about his family every mile because they were his greatest joy in life.
He will be so dearly missed and all the love and joy, memories and wisdom that he instilled in our lives will be in our hearts forever.
