Warren Scriven Obituary

Spike was a hard worker and couldn't sit still. He was known for refurbishing tractors, he was always the life of the party and he wore many hats. Spike worked for the Town of Catlin Highway Department and was also a heavy machine operator for many years. He was an avid farmer, enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and liked classic country music. Spike was a great provider and very generous to those in need. Those who knew him would remember his words, Farm Out!
He is survived by wife of 25 years, Dawn, "daughters", Mandy (Mason) McMahon and Courtney (Matthew) Madison, grandchildren, Derek, Ryan, Karmyn, brothers, Neil "Shorty" (Kris) Scriven and Dick and Candy Clark, sister, Cheryl (Ray) Ball, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved canine companions, Sissy and Baler. He is also survived by a multitude of beloved friends and extended family. Spike was predeceased by siblings, Gilbert "Joe" Scriven, Jerry "Jake" (Connie) Scriven, Priscilla Kincaid Skorzewski, Sandra Boom, Sally and Fred Brownell, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 East Pulteney Street, Corning, on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A celebration of Spike's life will immediately follow at the Maintenance Barn at the Scriven residence.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Southern Tier Animal Control by going to www.southerntieranimalcontrol.org
