Douglas Wayne Anderson, age 76, from Nashville, Tennessee passed away on April 14, 2023.
Wayne is preceded by his parents Douglas Paty Anderson and Gladys Jean Cubbins Anderson.
Survived by his loving wife of 51 ½ years, Mary Dillahay Anderson, son, Willie Sr (Misty) Anderson, daughters, Stephanie (Jordan) Clifton and Sonya (Jodie) Griggs, 7 grandchildren, Jordan Jr, Aaron, William, Lyndsey, Destiny, Savannah, and Willie Jr. and 6 great grandchildren, Bentley, Brison, Brody, Braelynn, Colton and Lane, siblings, Brenda, Gale, Arvil, Bobby, Steve and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his wife and family. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He loved going to tractors, monster trucks, car, and horse shows. Wayne will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Active Pallbearers serving are William Anderson Jr., Jordan Clifton Jr., Jordan Clifton Sr., William Griggs, Jodie Griggs, and Adam Aldridge Jr.,
Honorary Pallbearers serving are Aaron Clifton, Leah Clifton, Rachel Clifton, Savannah Griggs, Lyndsey Anderson, and Destiny Anderson.
There will be a visitation Wednesday April 19, 2023, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Thursday April 20, 2023 starting at 9:00 am until the Celebration of Life 11:00 am all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, Tennessee. Burial to follow at Mt Hope Cemetery located at 608 Mt Hope St, Franklin, Tennessee 37064.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ash Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church 4930 Ash Hill Road Spring Hill, TN 37174, St. Jude's Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 and Shepherd Center 2020 Peachtree Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.
