Wayne Milton Haney

Wayne Milton Haney, age 87, of Hillsdale, Michigan, and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. He was born on August 2, 1938, in Ironwood, Michigan, to Milton and Lucille (Massoglia) Haney. Wayne married Kristine Wolfe on July 5, 1980, and she survives.
Wayne graduated from Northwestern University, and he went on to work in managerial roles with Playschool, Edward Don and Company, and Johnson Controls. He also owned HPT Properties, a real estate development company in Chicago. Wayne retired from the State of Illinois as a labor negotiator. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife of 45 years, Kristine Wolfe, Wayne is survived by one son, Eric (Kathleen) Haney of Chicago; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Haney of Hillsdale; three nieces, Sheri (Doug) Ingles, Diana (Daryl) Crawford, and Lori (Jeff) Davis; and one half-brother, Dennis (Cheryl) Rosett of Florida.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Milton Haney; his mother, Lucille (George) Rosett; and one son, Aaron Haney.
At Wayne's request, cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements have been made under the guidance of VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
