Wayne Longshore passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, in the same Texas town where his story began on July 13, 1938. Wayne's life was marked by service, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to his family and faith.
Born to Wilma Martin Longshore and William Thomas Longshore. He attended Odessa High School, where his early life was shaped by the values that would guide him throughout his days. His dedication to his country was evident as he joined the United States Armed Forces, serving with distinction before receiving an honorable discharge.
Wayne's heart found its match when he married Arlene Reeves on November 25, 1959. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Jodie and Cindy, and forty memorable years of marriage until Arlene's passing in 1999. Love graced Wayne's life once more when he married Lorene Elaine Mullins on December 11, 2005. Together, they shared nineteen joy-filled years.
Professionally, Wayne was a man of many talents. His career with Coca-Cola and later Dr. Pepper in the Midland and Odessa area was marked by dedication and excellence. Wayne's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as he owned and operated Arlene's Flowers with his family. His time as an EZ Rider bus driver further exemplified his commitment to serving others.
Wayne's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was a member of Travis Baptist Church in Midland Tx. His belief in the teachings of Christ guided him in all his endeavors and was a source of comfort and strength.
Wayne was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy was in the time spent with his loved ones.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be carried on by his daughters, Jodie Gonzales and husband Daniel, and Cindy Jones and husband Danny; step-son, Clifton Mullins; brother, Bobby Longshore and wife Francis; grandchildren, Sean Gonzales, Brittany Neri and husband Sal, and Holly Stevens and husband Brad; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Wayne is now reunited with those who have passed before him: his parents, Wilma and William Longshore; his first wife, Arlene; second wife, Lorene; stepdaughter, Debbie; brothers, Curtis and Billy Longshore; and sister, Melba Greenlee.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at McNett Funeral Home from one until two o'clock in the afternoon. Funeral services will follow at two o'clock in the afternoon at McNett Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Hull officiating with burial immediately after at Andrews North Cemetery.
