MOULTRIE – Wendell Allegood, 76, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. A private family interment will follow.
Born August 19, 1947, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Lloyd Allegood and Mabel Brown Allegood. Mr. Allegood was a faithful servant who loved his Lord with all his heart. He cherished his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Mr. Allegood was a very humble man who tried to live his life as a willing missionary for Christ by helping others while sharing God’s love. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Shelia Collins Allegood; children, Jessica Lynn Allegood (Jerry Tidwell), Ryan Whitney Allegood (Britney Hand), and Jereme Allegood and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Aleigha, Adelynn, and Braden; 3 nieces, and a host of great nieces and nephews along with numerous extended family members and friends.
For those desiring, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
