She was a beautiful, kind, and gentle soul, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking for her family, growing vibrant flowers and vegetables in her garden, and doting on her two beloved granddaughters, Catherine and Meredith Burkhardt. Wene is also survived by two daughters, Cangsu Hu and Joan Hu Burkhardt, M.D., and her caring husband of 57 years, Hengliang (Dale) Hu.
