Wesley Ervin Moorefield, 75 of Scurry, TX, a proud US Army Vietnam Vet with 3 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star, Harley riding, bad-a griller, best breakfast sandwich maker dad, Papa and great Papa left this earth on January 19, 2024. Wesley was born on January 7, 1949 in Burlington, NC and is preceded in death by his parents, Icy Mae Cheek and James Wesley Moorefield. He was loved by many and respected by all. A man of few words, but people took notice when he spoke. His commitment to his work as a HVAC technician defined his entire life, showcasing his strong work ethic and dedication. His sense of humor, sarcasm and wittiness will be missed by all. He’s survived by his loving wife of 44 years Rose Marie Moorefield; his children, Jenny Rosson (Jason) of Garland, Cindy Carroll “daddy’s baby girl” (Bill) of Scurry, James “Bubba” Moorefield of Dallas; his grandchildren, Corinna, Haylei, Tayler, Ryan, Harlee, Kieran, Kaley, Katilynn, Jayden and his great grandchildren, Audree, Peyton, Isaiah, Elijah, Whitley, Maisie, Sydney and Ellary. He is also survived by his siblings, Delbert, Nancy, Barbara Ann, JB, Francis and Kathy and several nieces & nephews. Wesley loved you all….for a dollar.
