Whitney Andree Windham Womack joined her dad, grandparents and other family in Heaven Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the age of 37.
Born September 12, 1986 in Abilene Texas to Frank A. Windham, Jr. and Debby Kersey Windham. She attended Baird Elementary, Baird Jr. High, and graduated in 2005 with honors from Clyde High School. Whitney graduated with honors from McMurry University, where she was the first woman and college Junior to ever receive the Edwin Sutherland Award For outstanding student in criminology.
Whitney showed an early love for both ranching and music. She attended her first round-up at the ripe old age of three weeks and worked at her Mother and Daddy's side working and branding cattle her entire life. Her Daddy always said she put the best brand on a calf that he had ever seen and insisted that she was the one who branded at cattle workings. Her love for music started when she was an infant. She would hum the entire time she was being fed. She composed her first song, "I've Got The Blue Bonnet Blues", at age 7. She was the singing entertainment for coronation when she attended Baird and sang solo for the "Pops" concert when she attended Clyde High School. She also sang for family gatherings and weddings.
Whitney always said other than working cattle that her job was her school work and her passion was singing and entertaining. She always took school very seriously and excelled in her extra curricular activities. She was an Honor-roll student throughout school, Student Council President, Beta Club, class favorite, homecoming queen nominee, head cheerleader, NCA cheerleader applicant, National American Miss Abilene, Miss Callahan County USA, National American Miss Texas, Crowned National All-American Miss in California, contestant in the Miss Texas USA pageant.
Although she enjoyed singing, writing, ranching, anything vanilla, glitter, and playing the guitar, she was also passionate about her love for the Lord, and showed His love and grace to others she encountered. She and Joshua attended Beltway Park Church in Abilene.
She was preceded in death by grandparents A.E. "Scotty" & Marjorie Kersey Sr. and Frank A. & Inez Windham Sr; her father Frank A. Windham Jr.; uncles A.E. "Scotty" Kersey Jr. and Chuck Speller; and her beloved dog Sparkle.
Survivors include husband Joshua Andrew Womack; mother Debby Kersey Windham; daughters Jewel Andree Windham Franke and Legend Wilder Windham Franke; son Harley Womack and daughter Lexi Womack Olesen; aunts and uncles Ann Speller, Jerry & Laura Kersey, Tom & Susan Kersey, and Margie & Eric Faulkner; numerous Kersey and Windham cousins; and many close family, friends & childhood friends, including Sonny Collins and Doug Horner, who stepped in to help after the passing of her father.
A private family burial will be held. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Whitney will be missed by so many who were touched by her love, ambition and determination, and whose days she brightened with her smile. She once said, "Mama, I'm gonna shoot for the moon, and even if I miss, I'll still land in the stars."
