David is survived by his two sons-Jeffrey and Michael (Lori), his grandchildren- Amanda, Joshua, and Emily, his life partner-Kim, his siblings Diane, and Robert, and many other family members and friends who were honored to know and love him. David was preceded in death by his mother-Evelyn, father- Carroll, siblings-Linda, and Denny.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wiley David Mann, affectionately known as David. David's journey on this earth was one marked by love for his family, hard work, and finding joy in the little things in life such as beekeeping or enjoying a cup of coffee surrounded by his beautiful rhododendrons. A gentle and simple soul, David could be found any day working in his garage, mowing the lawn, or "just sitting here eating some cornbread" (his typical response when asked what he was doing)! Keeping a garden, farming, and fishing with his sons at his favorite spot on Sunburst were some of his favorite activities over the years. His family often laughed and poked fun at him for his simplicity at Christmas time when his cards were signed with a quick "Love David".... that was PROBABLY written instead by his life partner, Kim, this ongoing joke and memory will keep the family laughing for many years to come! In his early years, David worked and retired from Dayco, he was a man with a strong work ethic and enjoyed staying busy but what he valued most was sitting on the front porch swing just talking with the people who loved him. David's passing has left a void in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him, but we will cherish his memory until we are blessed to meet again!
In honoring David's values and wishes, there will not be a scheduled celebration of life. However, the family is grateful for all expressions of sympathy through thoughts and prayers
