A resident of New Iberia, William Jason Ardoin was born in Opelousas, Louisiana on October 13, 1961, to the late William “Bill” and Odile Chautin Ardoin. He was a 1979 graduate of New Iberia Senior High, which laid the foundation for a career that spanned decades. Jason devoted his professional life to the oilfield industry. He worked for various companies throughout his career, including Dupre' Supply Company/National Oilwell Varco for over 20 years, and Whitliejo Specialty Co., demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his work.
Though his career was a significant part of his identity, it was Jason’s family that truly defined him. A longtime faithful member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, his life was steeped in the values of love, community, and faith. His hobbies brought joy and vibrancy to his life; from the thrill of dirt biking to the peaceful serenity of fishing, he embraced the outdoors with an infectious enthusiasm. He also found solace in music and literature, often sharing these passions with those he loved.
At the heart of Jason’s world were his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. He will be deeply missed.
Jason is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Danette Hebert Ardoin; daughters, Brandi Ardoin Romero (Saul) and Blaire Ardoin Lemaire (Thomas); grandchildren, Cortland and Caiden Romero, and Addison, Emma, and Walker Lemaire; and siblings, Mark Ardoin (Susan), Monica Mallet (David), and Leah Vige’ (Andy).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by parents-in-law, Daniel and Barbara Hebert; and godparents, Henry Burke Ardoin and Mae Chautin.
Pallbearers will be Mark Ardoin, Craig Hebert, Thomas Lemaire, Saul Romero, Clay Ortego, and David Mallet.
Honorary pallbearers are Cortland and Caiden Romero, Justin Hebert, and Cody Mallet.
Jason’s spirit and unwavering love for his family will continue to shine brightly in their hearts. May he rest in peace.
