Bill was born on July 17, 1939, in Buncombe County to the late Ernest and Beulah Garrison. Bill served in the US Air Force from 1957 – 1961, retired from Kearfott after 40 years, and he enjoyed farming and gardening. He was a member of Wilkey Baptist Church and attended Clear Branch Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Garrison; sisters, Hattie Louise Garrison and Martha Ann Reagan; and brothers, George M. Garrison and Ned H. Garrison.
Those left to cherish his memories are his sisters, Earline Owenby and Rowena Rodgers; brother, Thad Garrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Anthony Rodriguez officiating. The burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
