October 31, 1952 - July 30, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Clugston on July 30, 2024, at the age of 71. Bill was born on October 31, 1952, in Flint, Michigan and he moved with his family to Arizona at the age of 5, where he spent the remainder of his life.
Bill is survived by his wife, Debra Clugston; his two daughters, Nicole McLeod and Michelle Lund; his grandchildren, Lyric Tryon, Brooklyn Tryon, and Maddox McLeod; and his great-grandson, Malakai Tryon. He is also survived by his sister, Pam (Neil) Lulek/Singles, who held a special place in his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl Clugston and William Wallace Clugston Sr.
Bill graduated from Alhambra High School and went on to attend Glendale Community College. He became a dedicated Mechanical Engineer, where Bill was known for his strong work ethic and passion. When he wasn't at work, Bill could often be found tinkering on computers or lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors, earning him the nickname "Mr. Fix-It". He also had a soft spot for Hallmark movies, which he enjoyed watching in his downtime.
To say he had the gift of gab was an understatement; he had the ability to make friends with anyone he met. Known for his quick wit, his laughter and infectious sense of humor, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In celebrating Bill's life, we remember a selfless man who brought light and laughter to those around him, showed kindness to all, and who loved his family unconditionally.
Rest in peace, Bill. Your spirit, humor, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Casa De La Luz Hospice.
