William "Bill" Cox, Jr, of Moundsville, WV passed away July 24, 2025, at Liza's Place, surrounded by family and close friends, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 23, 1965, son of William Cox, Sr. and Patty Cox Flinn.
He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1984. He was a ASE Certified Master Auto Technician and Owner/Operator of Cox Auto Repair.
Bill enjoyed classic cars, drag racing, fishing, rabbit hunting with his friends, riding his Harley, and spending time target shooting with his granddaughters. Bill's "best bud" was his Great Dane, Wilbur, who went everywhere with him.
He is survived by his son, Chris Cox; siblings, Terri Roddy (Darren), Mark Cox (Heather), and Brian Cox (Allison); a beloved uncle, Skip Sayre, with whom he spent a lot of time; three grandchildren, Raelynn, Willow, and Memphis, which were his pride and joy!
There will be no visitation or services, at Bill's request. A Celebration of Life will be held at Limestone Fire Hall on September 7, 2025 from 12pm-? All classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles are welcome!
Bill had many close friends and family to thank; those who dropped off food and lended comfort and support as he battled with his cancer. The family would like to thank Marissa at Valley Hospice, the staff at Liza's Place, and the nurses on the 4th floor at Wheeling Hospital.
