William Leroy "Bill" Cullison, Sr., age 88, of Gettysburg, passed away on March 20, 2025 at Mercy House in Chambersburg, PA.
A lifelong resident of Adams County, he was born at home July 22, 1936, the 5th of 10 children born to the late Harvey Edgar and Laura (Winebrenner) Cullison. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was employed for over 50 years with C E Williams, retiring at age 85.
Bill enjoyed playing cards, PA Lottery, VFW bus trips to Atlantic City Casinos, and watching wrestling and bluegrass music on TV. He was a life member of Barlow Fire Company, Catholic War Veterans, Fairfield Amvets, Adams County Fish & Game, and a member of the VFW.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Terry Bixler; his son Jimmy; three infant children; his former wife and mother of his children Nita Mae Davis; his stepdaughter Francine Matthews; his brothers John, Clair, and Charles; and two infant brothers James and Harvey.
He is survived by his siblings Genevieve Utz, Margaret Sprankle, Kathryn Pottorff and Donald Cullison; his children William L. Cullison, Jr., Annette Piper, David E. Cullison, Sue Ann Sawyer, and Laura Beth McWilliams; his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his angel of mercy Lynn Bixler who was always there for him in his final years.

Bill will be laid to rest privately with his longtime companion, Terry Bixler, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover. In his memory, show kindness to someone.
