Bill DeMeo was born on June 9th, 1943, and peacefully passed away at home on October 3rd, 2023, at the age of 80.
Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie. His son Jeff, wife Justine and their children Jaxen (12), Dylan (8), and Jase (3) of Brewster, NY. His son Kenny, wife Kate, and their children Lucia (8) and Sofia (4) of Valhalla, NY. His sister Roseanne and her family are from City Island, NY.
Bill was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Astoria, and moved to Thornwood, NY, where he and his wife lived for 51 years and raised their two sons.
Bill loved baseball and football, and his favorite teams were the New York Mets and New York Giants. He worked as a Local 3 Electrician for 30 years. After he retired, he took his family to Sicily, Disney World and vacationed in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, and Aventura, Florida.
Bill was an avid runner, a volunteer at Blythedale Children's Hospital, and returned to college in his 60's to receive his college diploma.
He spent his free time listening to jazz and classical music, and he loved his carvel ice cream cake and limoncello.
Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his children and 5 grandchildren whenever he could.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
