William Anthony Doebler Jr.

William A. Doebler, Jr., 74, of Clinton Township, passed away on May 16, 2025.
He was born on November 25, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan to the late William, Sr. and Isla Doebler.
On September 7, 1992, William married the love of his life, Diana. Together, they shared over three decades of love, laughter, and partnership, building a life rooted in commitment and care.
William served his country with pride and distinction in the United States Army, where he learned the values of loyalty, duty, and resilience that shaped the rest of his life. The Army was not just a chapter-it was a cornerstone of who he was.
For 14 years, William embraced the joy and spirit of the holiday season by becoming Santa Claus for countless children and families. Donning the red suit, he brought magic and comfort to hospitals, corporate gatherings, community celebrations, and Crimestoppers events. His portrayal was more than a role, it was a gift of hope and cheer for everyone he met.
William found peace in the simple joys of life. He loved taking walks with his loyal dog, Freedom, spending time outdoors, soaking in the sun, and casting a line while fishing. His presence was as warm and welcoming as a summer day, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
William leaves behind a legacy of kindness, service, and joy. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Diana; stepchildren, Michael (Jennifer) McCallister, Audrey (Corey) Locke, and Shannon Doebler; grandchildren; Nicholas, Colton, Carter, Aiden, and Grayson; and his beloved dog, Freedom.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. at St. Ronald Catholic Church, Clinton Twp. with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
