William "Bill" L. Erichsen, 84, Kewaunee, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. He was born in Kewaunee on April 21, 1940, to Alvin and Erna (Hoffman) Erichsen. He married Phyllis Reckelberg on September 22, 1962, at St Paul Lutheran Church - Montpelier.
Bill was a mechanic, and he ran his own businesses, Erichsen Repair and Erichsen Bus Service. He enjoyed talking to all of his customers that came in for service. Bill was part of the FFA and was on the board of directors for the Farm Bureau. He loved spending time with his family, including his dogs, Cookie and Daisy, and watching his grandkids at their sporting events. He enjoyed playing Sheepshead, helping around the farm, and driving tractor.
Bill is survived by his wife Phyllis; children, Bruce, Janine (Steve) Bowers, Kristine (Jason) Bowers; son-in-law, Tom Toseland; grandchildren, Brad (Kasandra) Toseland, Brett (Brooke) Toseland, Nathan, Grace, Emily Bowers, and Briley Bowers; eight great grandchildren; sister, Betty Williams; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; furthered survived by nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Erna Erichsen; daughter, Sherry Toseland; brother Eugene Erichsen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Martha Reckelberg; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services - Kewaunee. Visitation will continue Monday, April 7, 2025, from 9:00 am - 10:45 am at Immanuel Lutheran Ev. Church, Kewaunee. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Matthew Sprunger officiating. Burial will take place at St. Peter Cemetery, Carlton.
