William Fuentes Obituary

"Loving Husband, father and brother"
Mr. William Fuentes, 74, of Waterbury, formerly of New York City, entered into the gates of Heaven peacefully on Saturday December 24, 2022 at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the loving husband of Gladys (Oliver) Fuentes.
William was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on September 21, 1948, son of the late Marcelo and Pascuala (Ayala) Fuentes. He moved to New York City as a child settling to Waterbury in 2004. He worked as a plumber with the Local #1 Plumber Union out of NY for over 30+ years until his retirement. He was an avid New York Yankee's fan.
Besides his wife Gladys of 15 years, he leaves to honor and cherish his memory; a daughter Cynthia Fuentes of Waterbury; 3 stepsons, Mario of Kissimmee, FL and Peter and Robert of Waterbury; five brothers, Angel Luis, Johnny, Joselito, Richard and Victor Fuentes; six grandchildren; and a mother-in-law, Elena Garcia of Waterbury. He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Fuentes and eight siblings.
Arrangements: A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday December 30, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
