William "Bill" Hackenburg, 57, of Bellevue, passed away in his home on Sunday, January 14. He was born on August 1, 1966 to Lester-Wallace and Marlene Hackenburg.
A lifelong resident of Bellevue, Bill graduated from Bellevue Senior High School in 1986 and worked in construction. As an avid boater, hunter, and fisherman, Bill spent his summers boating on rivers and lakes, traveling, and camping. He shared his love of the outdoors with his family and friends. He enjoyed making others laugh and was never shy at a party. His family and friends will remember his carefree spirit.
Bill is survived by his three sons: Jacob Hackenburg of Clyde, Logan Hackenburg of Oak Harbor, and Lucas Hackenburg of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Cambree Hackenburg; siblings: Robert "Bob" Hackenburg of Bellevue, Jeff (Emma) Hackenburg of Clyde, and Cindy (Gary) Andrews of Clyde. His former wife of 25 years, as well as the mother of his sons, Sally ( Ferback) Hackenburg, of Fremont survives, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by both of his parents.
A memorial gathering will be held for family and friends at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde, Ohio on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Bellevue FFA.
