Funeral services for William "Jeffery" Simpson, Jr. will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Deacon Jerome Collins will officiate the services. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA.
Visitation will be held in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas on Thursday, July 18, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. for the public until service time at 12:00 PM.
William "Jeffery" Simpson, Jr., age 61, passed away on July 9,2024, in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. Jeffery was born on April 7, 1963, in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Jeffery worked in the oilfield for several years. In his younger years, he enjoyed being outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.
Jeffery is survived by his stepfather, Fred Benoit of Lafayette, LA; his brother-in-law, Glenn J. Childress of Carencro, LA; his niece, Dione Angelle Childress of Austin, TX; and his great-nephew, Tristan Dolese of Kyle, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father, William "Willie" Simpson, Sr.; his mother, Dorothy Stegall Simpson Benoit; his sister, Cynthia "Cindy" Simpson Childress; his daughter, Rachel Simpson; and his stepfather, Luke Henry.
Jeffery will be deeply missed by all who knew him and may he rest in peace.
