William Perry Jordan
September 29, 1947 – April 12, 2025
William "Bill" Jordan, a beloved father, grandfather,
friend and community member, passed away
peacefully on April 12, 2025. Born on September 29,
1947, in Bend, Bill was the son of Laddie Q. and
Connie Jordan.
Bill attended schools in Redmond, graduating from
Redmond Union High School with the class of 1965.
A talented wrestler, he competed at district and
state levels and continued his athletic pursuits at
Southern Oregon State College in Ashland. During
his college years, Bill worked summers as a smoke
jumper for the Forest Service at Redmond Air Center
to fund his education. He earned both a Bachelor
of Science and a Master's degree in Psychology,
demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning
and service to others.
Bill joined the National Guard while completing his studies, dedicating six years to
serving his country. He used his education in social sciences to support juveniles in
Jackson County before returning to Central Oregon in 1973. His work with the juveniles
of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs as the Director of Mental Health highlighted
his compassion and dedication to helping others. In 1980, Bill transitioned into a long
and successful career in real estate sales and land development, where he excelled in
both residential and commercial ventures.
An avid outdoorsman, Bill found joy in exploring Eastern Oregon, hunting, fishing and
embracing the natural beauty around him. He was also a rancher and cattleman who
raised livestock starting with Future Farmers Of America in school and later competing
with a prized Hereford bull at the National Western Stock Show where the bull won the
title of Grand Champion. A lifelong Yankees fan, he never missed a chance to cheer for
his team, while also proudly supporting the Oregon Ducks.
Bill is survived by his loving family: his son Jeffrey Ladd Jordan and daughter-in-law Amy
Jordan, his daughter Kimberly Jordan Cooper, his cherished grandchildren, Karys Cooper
and Jaxon Cooper and his God son Suede Hamel of Stillwater Oklahoma. Bill's legacy of
resilience, dedication, and adventure lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. He
will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his unwavering commitment to family,
his passion for the outdoors, and his love for having fun.
Rest in peace, Bill Jordan. You will forever be held close in the memories and love of your
family and friends.

A short prayer and even though it was for only 2 years that Bil served he had great pride in having been a part of that outfit ... I was very proud of him... so was his family... I was not sure if they had been notified.. I do come for a family of paratroopers and people who jump out of planes for a living he is to be definitely honored that much more for his service and things that you would a lot of you would may not understand...

Heavenly Father,
We give thanks for the life of your servant, who faced fire and danger with courage and honor.
Now that Bill Jordan's final jump is done, grant him rest in your eternal peace.
May the skies be calm and the winds gentle as he rises to your care.
Bless the memory of his service, and comfort those who mourn his passing.
Amen.

What an interesting life I shared with my brother Bill and Lucianne..... and the Jordan Clan. I remember the Kansas City trip when he won the FFA championship for his Hereford-such a proud moment.

So many memories from our childhood flood my mind, especially him and baseball... too many to name. A few stand out, like his time as a staff psychologist on the Indian Reservation, helping with Social Services-an experience that meant a lot to him.

Then there was the beginning of his real estate venture. They had just set up his new office, but one of the rollers was missing from his chair. Unaware, he threw himself into the seat-and over he went! Maybe he was having a flashback to his smoke-jumping days-typical Bill, full of energy and adventure.

I´ll never forget when I was in fourth grade, a little tomboy who loved horseback riding, and he gave me Chanel perfume for my birthday. It was such a sweet and unexpected gesture.

I'm grateful we had a chance to reconnect in the past few years. I hope the Eagle worked out. When we last spoke, he said he was doing well and in good health. That characteristic grin and his sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Billy. I could go on and on-hunting, liver dances, the ranch... so many stories.

With love,
Rocky your sis in Tx
Please see the photo of him as a little boy. With his native family lol. His mom, Connie was one of the original Pioneer families of Oregon specifically Redmond and Multnomah County's God bless all of them may they rest in peace

I was saddened today (April 29 th) to read that my friend Bill has passed away. I met Bill many years ago when I helped him as my business client discussing land development possibilities in Jefferson and Deschutes counties. My condolences to Bill's family is his passing in this time of sadness. The memories I have of Bill as my friend will always be with me.
