William Jurgensen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Falls Funeral Home & Cremation Center - Wichita Falls on Mar. 31, 2026.
William "Bill" Earnest Jurgensen age 72, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on March 29,2026.

Bill was born March 22, 1954, in Leominster, Massachusetts, to Elmer and Gwendolyn Jurgensen, shortly after his family moved to Dallas, TX.

Bill graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1972 and graduated from East Texas State University in 1976. After college, Bill returned to Dallas and began his professional career at M/A/R/C and enjoyed a long career in market research. M/A/R/C was always dear to Bill, as he made countless lifelong friendships, and met the love of his life Marian. Life was always about making his girls laugh, taking them to Colorado every summer, and being a Dad. His love for the Dallas Cowboys, could be heard for miles as he whistled at every touchdown!

Bill is survived by his loving daughters Jennifer Lynn Jurgensen of Austin and Diane Marie Polley of (Chad) of Iowa Park, grandchildren Tylan(Ranishia), Tessa, Baylee, Max and Samuel Polley; sister Catherine Jurgensen Wallace (James) of Dallas, brother- in- law Alan Ray Thomasson of Truth and Consequences , NM. Bill cherished all of his friends and never met a stranger.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Marian Thomasson Jurgensen, sons John and James Jurgensen, parents Elmer and Gwendolyn Jurgensen, brother Thomas Jurgensen, in-laws Dr. Raymond and Mary Thomasson.

Dad was adamant that there be no service for him. His daughters would love you all to listen to your favorite Beatles song and think of Dad. As a young man, Bill was known for being the first to get his hands on the newest Beatles album and playing them for his neighborhood friends and they all bonded over their love of music.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of United Regional Hospital, Wichita Home Health Services(especially Jamie and Casey), Texhoma Christian Care Center, and BeyondFaith Hospice.

This William Jurgensen did not star in M*A*S*H (hee hee - Dad humor)
