Bill grew up in the vibrant heart of Chicago and carried the spirit of the city with him throughout his life. Bill's zest for life could be seen in his diverse interests. A true family man at heart, he was deeply passionate about the well-being of his loved ones. His wife, Bernadine, was his constant companion for the past 16 years, lovingly sharing each day's blessings together. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Kress, and is survived by their combined families, including five sons, four daughters, two stepsons, and one stepdaughter. Bill's legacy also includes twenty-four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Bill's love for nature was evident in his meticulously tended flower gardens, a quiet testament to his patience and nurturing spirit. His creative soul found expression in painting, where he created vivid canvases that spoke of his inner vision and passion. A lifelong Chicago sports fanatic, Bill dedicated countless hours cheering for the White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bears. His love for golf was more than a hobby; it was a way of connecting with family, friends, nature, and himself.
Those who knew Bill best would describe him as generous, always ready to lend a hand or support a friend in need.
