William Allan Linden, lovingly known as "Bill," passed away peacefully at his home in Shelby Township on September 6, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was 82 years old.
Bill was born on December 26, 1942, in Englewood, New Jersey, to his parents, Andrew and Dorothy Linden. He spent his early years in Ohio, where he attended high school and developed the joyful, positive spirit that would define his life. From a young age, Bill loved being around people-his warm presence, uplifting energy, and kind nature touched everyone who knew him.
A deeply faithful and giving man, Bill found joy and purpose in serving others. He was a devoted member and volunteer at Brookside Missionary Baptist Church in Shelby Township, where he faithfully led the singing and served for many years. His dedication to his faith and church community was unwavering, and he inspired others through both word and action.
Bill retired from TRW's seatbelt stamping Washington Township plant, where he worked for 30 years. Whether at work or at church, he was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, the care he showed to others, and his love for the Lord. But more than anything else, family was everything to Bill. He cherished time spent with his siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family-many of whom looked up to him as a steady and loving figure in their lives.
He is survived by his siblings: Carole (Craig) Bline, Debbie (Roger) Brink, Rich (Lori) Linden, and Jerry (Marilyn) Wedel, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will always carry his memory in their hearts. Bill is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert (Diane Neigebauer) Linden and John David Owen Linden, who passed away at 18 months old, and his sister, Linda Wedel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gramer Funeral Home, Diener Chapel, 48271 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Township, MI 48317 (located on Van Dyke between 21 and 22 Mile Roads).
A celebration of Bill's life will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Brookside Missionary Baptist Church, 52203 Mound Road, Shelby Township, MI 48316. Visitation at the church will begin at 10 a.m.. Burial will be at Utica Cemetery.
