Ken Koppel and I respected Bill for his dedication to his students. Ceramic students flocked to him, often making a reason for attending school. Teaching art history was a difficult task that he mastered. Classes were filled. I remember his smile and relaxed air, so informal and welcoming to all. We were friends and shared many happy days together. He was loved and appreciated by many. Judith Koppel

I loved Mr. Marsh! He was my ceramics teacher and I fell in love with clay from his classes. He was so kind hearted and inspiring and I will never forget him. God bless you Mr. Marsh - I am so happy I knew you and got to experience you as my teacher!

I was a student of William, AKA Mr . Marsh in his ceramics classes at EBHS around 1976 . At the time I felt like the ceramics studio was my home away from home. I spent most of my free time during the day in the ceramics studio. In addition to making pots , he taught me how help mix glazes , and load the kilns so I could get extra credits towards graduating early. He was also kind enough to help me build a potters wheel . I paid him back for this kind jesture by almost backing into and knocking over a newly built brick wall of his new addition to the ceramics studio. To this day , I still remember the look of horror followed by relief as my van missed the outside corner of the wall by inches.
He was a very inspirational teacher , he went far above the call of duty for all of his students . Thankyou Mr. Marsh You will be missed.
