William L. McNiece, 81, of Camden and later Dover, died June 12, 2024 at Courtland Manor Nursing Home Center.
William was born on December 2, 1942 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
He worked as a Priest Hood Counselor for Morris County Sheriff's Department. He enjoyed his retirement with his late wife Joan (deceased January 2023) in the retirement community, Barkley Farms. He was a member f Holy Cross Church and Knights of Columbus in Camden, Delaware and the Historical Society of Camden, Delaware.
William is survived by brother and sister-in-law John and Marlene McNiece, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Frank Rahmig, sister and brother-in-law Theresa and Robert Roos, nephew Nicholas Benenati of New Jersey, many cousins and extended family of friends made over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 noon, Thursday, June 20, 2024 in the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE, where family will receive friends in the gathering area from 11:30 a.m. until Mass.
Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover, DE.

I would like to extend my sincere sympathies to all of Bill and Joan's families I had known Bill from St. Andrew's in Clifton, NJ and my husband went to school with Joan. We remained friends with them until long after they moved to Delaware. I was the influence of Joan doing Tai Chi. I told her about my doing it and then she started. She went a LOT further with it than I ever did but we talked about it a lot on the phone. I miss talking to them very much and I can only say they were one H--- of a couple and I will miss them terribly,
