William Edward Miles, 54, of New Castle, NH, passed away on Nov. 18, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Billy to family, Will to friends, was born to Arthur Lamprey Miles and Shirley Louise Miles (Owsley) in Portsmouth, NH on June 21, 1970.
Will grew up in New Castle, NH, and it always held a special place in his heart. His most cherished childhood memories included mischievous adventures with “the gang”, summers hanging with the Horner family, and time spent at the oceanside. He moved to Florida in the 90s where he became a second family to all who met him. After 20 years he moved back to New Hampshire after he met Sarah Boyers, who became mother to their son, Eli William Miles. Eli was Bill’s world and his motivation to continue the fight for 12 years.
Will is preceded in death by his mother Shirley and uncles Bobbie Miles, Phip Miles, and John Short. He leaves behind his loving father Arthur, aunt Ann Short, sisters Tracy and Cheryl, many cousins, nieces Hannah and Haley Lane, and his son Eli Miles.
The celebration of life will be held at the Elk’s Lodge in Portsmouth, NH, on December, 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. We will be holding a service and burial in the Spring 2025. Details will be shared at a later date on social media.
