Born October 2, 1970 in Cumberland, MD, Bill was the son of Sonja (Lang) Moon and the late William Douglas Moon, Jr. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Kurt Moon.
Bill was a graduate of Allegany High School Class of 1988 and attended West Virginia University. He then graduated from Allegany College of Maryland and also Shippensburg University. Bill was the Store Manager at Staples for many years and was currently employed as the Sales Manager for Timbrook Powersports, Winchester, VA. He was a member of Comps Church of Jesus Christ and was a United States Air Force and Army Reserve Veteran. Bill enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, collecting sport memorabilia and watching the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He loved to travel, ride his bicycle, and loved his Corvette. He also enjoyed hanging out and having fun, playing card games and playing croquet as well as going to Christian concerts. Bill was a Man of God and loved his country. He had a big heart and was a generous person. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife: Lori Moon; his children: William D. Moon, IV, Brady Moon, and Briella Moon; his sisters: Tambrea Moon-Gaba; Tonya Moon, and Melissa Moon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and several longtime friends.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating.
Interment will be in Comps Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Rory McCarty, Brady Moon, Jason Merritt, Gary Knight, III, Michael Knight, and Kevin Rinehart.
and Honorary Pallbearer: Gene Kauffman
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
