Bill Morrow

Oskaloosa. William Morrow, 75, of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born April 9, 1950, in Oskaloosa, the son of Harold and Betty Glassford Morrow. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1969. Following graduation, he served in the United State Navy from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1971. On August 27, 1971, he was united in marriage to Sally Jenkins at the Assembly of God Church in Oskaloosa. Bill started his career at Clow Valve in Oskaloosa in 1971. He worked in the foundry in various capacities until his retirement in 2012. In retirement Bill enjoyed spending time with Sally and traveling all over the United States. He also enjoyed collecting and building model cars and ships. He loved animals and especially loved the company of his cat and tending to his numerous bird feeders. For the last few years Bill has enjoyed traveling with his son and daughter-in-law to renaissance fairs throughout the Midwest.

His family includes his two children, Sherri Morrow of Vincennes, Indiana and Joe (Crystal) Morrow of Oskaloosa; a grandson, Ryan Morrow; and his brothers and sisters in law, Janice Jenkins, Carl and Alyce Jenkins, and Bill Quick.

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 46 years Sally Morrow on September 1, 2017; his parents: Harold and Betty Morrow; a sister, Jackie Quick; and his mother and father-in-law, Bernice and Rex Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Adam Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa with Graveside Military Honors given by members of the Oskaloosa American Legion and V.F.W. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin on Monday, October 13, 2025, after 12 noon in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 6-8 Monday evening to greet friends and relatives.
