Delores Jean Morrow, born on January 16, 1949, in Greene County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in her beloved hometown. A dedicated mother and grandmother, cherished friend, and devoted member of her community, Jean's warm spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jean began her career at Sunbeam Corporation, where she devoted fifteen years to her work. Her life led her to Greene County Tech, where she worked as a custodian and remained a valued employee until her retirement. Following her tenure, Jean continued to contribute to the school community as a substitute custodian, filling the needs of the school as they arose.
Her faith was an essential part of her life. As a faithful member of Blue Cross General Baptist Church, Jean found immense joy in serving the Lord and her church community, forming lasting bonds with fellow congregants.
Jean actively participated in the Senior B.E.E.S. center, where she delighted in daily visits, engaging in various activities, and fostering friendships. One of her greatest joys was line dancing, a pastime that brought her much happiness.
Jean was married to the love of her life, Billy Morrow, on March 11, 1966. They shared a deep and enduring bond until his passing on June 30, 2010. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Angie Crabtree; grandsons, Cody (Scarlett) Crabtree and Jordan (Brittany) Crabtree; great grandchildren, Braxton, Sadie, Caleb, Bailey, and Lane; sisters, Patty (Larry) Greer and Debbie (Dexter) Smith; brother, Tommy (Kim) Covington; and several nephews, nieces, and friends, who will carry on her legacy of compassion and dedication.
Jean was preceded by her parents, Tom Covington and Frances Perry Cox; husband, Billy Morrow; and son, Jacky Morrow.
In accordance with Jean's wishes, her body has been donated to science. A memorial service celebrating her life and legacy will be Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1 PM at Blue Cross General Baptist Church, allowing family and friends to gather in remembrance and honor the remarkable woman she was.
Delores Jean Morrow will be fondly remembered for her indomitable spirit, her love for family and friends, and her unwavering faith. May she rest in peace.
