William Patrick "Bill" O'Brien

William "Bill" Patrick O'Brien, 82 of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, while under the care of Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, FL. Born in Chicago, IL he moved to Leesburg in 2005. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam and was a police officer in Chicago, IL prior to his retirement. Bill was of Catholic Faith and attended St. Paul's Catholic Church of Leesburg. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, going on walks, taking care of his yard and playing a few hands of cards. He is predeceased by his Children, Byron and Rebecca O'Brien. He is survived by his Wife, Charlene O'Brien; Brother, Carter O'Brien of Wisconsin; Sister-in-law, Joyce Strauss of Arkansas; and by numerous extended family and friends. A Funeral Mass for Bill will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Leesburg on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 at 8:30 AM. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, Florida.
