I´m just learning of Billy´s passing now and I am so sad to hear this news. Billy was, by far, the best person I´ve ever had the privilege of knowing. I called him my angel because whenever I needed help, he was there to help. Billy was a true friend to everyone he met. They don´t make them like Billy Roper anymore. He will be truly missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Billy was one of the coolest and down to earth dudes you could ever hope to meet.
I first met Billy through a mutual friend, David Welch. He was so welcoming and friendly, that he made me feel like we had been buddies for years. That was just just Billy's way.
Billy was also somebody you could always count on when you needed a favor. He helped me out on a number of occasions. The one that most impressed me and stood out of course, was when I needed a hole drilled for a dryer vent through basement concrete. It was the last step in my washer and dryer installation. As good fortune would have it, Billy was within ear shot when he heard of my dilemma. I don't think 10 minutes passed, when Billy walked over with his trusty tools and drilled that hole like it was nothing!
I'll miss seeing him drive his bulldozer around town, as I always thought it was so cool to see him doing so. One time after a major storm, the wires were lying on the ground in front of our house. Billy used his trusty bulldozer to raise me up in the bucket, where I tie wrapped all the wires together and far out of reach, so once power was restored, no one would get electrocuted.
My deepest condolences go out to Billy's numerous friends and of course close relatives, especially his awesome brother Johnny.
