William G. Sanders, 40, of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away on January 26, 2025,
William was born on October 30, 1984, in Evansville IN to Randal and Angela (Holler) Sanders.
William graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 2003 with high academic honors. It was during this time that William developed this passion for football and became the captain of the football team. He went on to Indiana University, earning a degree in Environmental Management in 2008. At the time of his passing, William was pursuing his master's degree in project management from Purdue University. William was a project manager of commercial building projects for SB Construction and Sanders Solutions, LLC.
William enjoyed spending time with his son, Liam, traveling with family, and visiting his friends. William was a tormented Chicago Bears and Cubs fan and appreciated a good Johhny Cash song.
He is survived by his son, Liam Scott Sanders; parents, Angela (Bill) Bender and Randal (Amy) Sanders; step-father, John Wannemuehler; brothers, Jerimiah (Shannon) Sanders, Elijah (Elise) Fenwick-Sanders; sister, Chloe Wannemuehler; niece, Cecilia Fenwick-Sanders; and nephews, River Hughes-Sanders and Atticus Fenwick-Sanders; grandparents, Joy (Bill) Diefenbaugh and Doris Sanders; uncle Troy Holler; aunts, Tajana (Rick) Arney; Lynda Mileham, and Lisa (Jim) Slygh.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, William Holler, JR, and Ronald Lee Sanders.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Rutherford officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the "The Liam Scott Sanders Trust".
