William "Bill" A. Swan, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the only child of the late John C. and Odile M. Swan.

A graduate of Fortier High School, Bill went on to serve his country with pride in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1958, where he also played the French horn in the Marine Corps Band.

He was married to the love of his life, the late Audrey Voisel Swan, for over 55 years. Together, they raised three children: Katherine Villemarette (Sidney), Dr. Timothy M. Swan (Gina), and the late William Swan, Jr.

Bill was a devoted grandfather to Christopher Villemarette (Emily), Nicholas Villemarette (Lily), Derek Swan (Emily), and Brandy Swan Penedo, and a proud great-grandfather to Lucille Swan, Frances Swan, Anderson Penedo, and Rhemi Penedo. He was also the cherished son-in-law of the late Vilmore and Verdie Voisel.

Bill retired from Enerpac after a long career as a dedicated and hardworking salesman. He was well known for his sharp wit and great sense of humor. Above all, he was a family man who never missed an opportunity to show he cared-always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions with a thoughtful card. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
