William J. Watko Sr

William J. Watko, Sr., 80, of Seaside Park, NJ, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023. Born in Bayonne, NJ, he lived in Freehold, NJ, and Basking Ridge, NJ before moving to Seaside Park. A graduate of Seton Hall University and Fairleigh Dickinson University, William received Master's degrees in Physics and Business Administration. He received his Doctorate from Pace University. He was a Finance Manager for Western Electric and AT&T. He later became a Business Professor at Berkeley College. William served in the United States Army and was a member of Mensa.
He is survived by his wife Ellen (nee Aimone), a son William J. (Elizabeth) Watko, Jr. of Goldens Bridge, NY, a daughter Julie Anne Watko of Alexandria, VA, and three grandchildren: Emmett, Eamon, and Cavan.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 11, 2023 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 809 Central Ave., Seaside Park, NJ. A memorial service will be offered at 2:30pm.
