William Michaael Wilhelm, 71, of Machipongo, Virginia, passed away on March 22, 2025, after a five-year struggle with blood cancer.
Bill was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to William James and Anna Stoffa Wilhelm. After graduating from Dundalk High School, he worked at Merritt Greenhouses and a Montgomery Ward warehouse, but most of his working life was at the Dundalk Marine Terminal.
He was a member of New Light Lutheran Church. Bill was loved by many and known for his smile and sweet disposition. He moved to Machipongo, VA in 2019 with his father to be closer to family.
Bill was predeceased by his mother Anna S. Wilhelm and his brother Bruce A. Wilhelm. He is survived by his father William J. Wilhelm, brother Phillip J. Wilhelm, sister-in-law Yvonne D. Wilhelm, many nephews and nieces, and their children.
Funeral services will be held at the Griffiths Funeral Home in Tamaqua, PA on September 26, followed by interment in Summit Hill, PA.
