Wilma M. Roskom

Wilma M. Roskom, age 82 of Cecil, was unexpectedly called home by her loving Lord on Monday, October 2, 2023. Wilma was born on June 6, 1941 to the late Hubert and Georgia (Stubbs) Tuell in Wabeno, WI. She graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1959. Wilma married Wayne Roskom at the EUB Church in Gillett on November 24, 1960. She enjoyed sewing, machine embroidery, painting, cake decorating, card making, hand crafting Christmas ornaments for her family and quilting. She was an active member of the Gillett and Oconto Falls quilting clubs and donated quilts for veterans. She also enjoyed watching the birds she fed and caring for her flower beds.
Wilma was a quiet, faithful woman with a kind heart and a strong prayer life. She was the kind of woman you could depend on and a blessing to everyone she encountered. Wilma will be treasured in our hearts as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Wayne; three children, Jean (Dan) Johnson, David (Connie) Roskom, and Joy (Craig) Briggs; grandchildren, Danielle (Jacob) Hoffpauir, Alex Johnson, Amanda (Brandon) Kaczrouske, Brittany (Chris) Mozo, Braydon Briggs, Nathaniel Briggs, Maiah Briggs, and Elli Briggs; great-grandchildren, Coleman, Jackson, and Wyatt Hoffpauir, Justice and Damian Kaczrouske, and Oliver and Sullivan Mozo; two sisters, Myra Soapes and Melody "June" (Charles) Grutza; three brothers, Allen Tuell, George (Rita) Tuell, and Oliver "Buck" (Holly) Tuell. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia "Jinx" (LeRoy) Nevins; brother, Donald Tuell; sister-in-law, Janeva Tuell; brother-in-law, Jessie Soapes.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Riverview Alliance Church (628 N. Main St., Oconto Falls, WI 54154) from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Kevin Kuhn officiating. Wilma will be interred at Wanderer's Rest Cemetery in Gillett.
