Yolanda Infante Dean, 50, faithful Christian, devoted wife and mother, caring daughter and sister and faithful friend, entered into eternal life on Tuesday evening, September 7, 2021. Always strong, she fought valiantly against the Covid virus for more than 6 weeks. Despite the best efforts of her physicians and nurses at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, the damage inflicted was more than her body could overcome.



Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at PromiseLand San Marcos, 1650 Lime Kiln Rd, San Marcos, TX 78666 followed by a Celebration and Reflection of her life at 2 p.m A family committal will occur at a later date.



Yolanda Infante Dean was born on February 5, 1971 in Dallas, Texas, the 2nd of 3 children born to Ernesto Gomez Infante and the late Maria Elena Herrera Infante. Her family would relocate to South Texas where Yolanda would graduate from South Texas High School for Health Profesin Mercedes. She would attend classes at University of Texas Pan-American and Austin Community College before receiving a B.S. in Biology and Master's degree from Texas State University. She would stay connected to the college, working almost twenty years as a Master's Student Recruiter.



Survivors; husband and best friend, Shannon Dean; son, Isaiah Quintanilla; father, Ernesto Gomez Infante; siblings, Alejandro Infante and his wife Claudia, Magdalena "Magda" Infante-Garcia; step-sons, Caleb Dean, Seth Dean; many extended family members and friends with whom she made and lasting influence.

Yolanda was one of the most sweetest vivacious intelligent ladies I had ever met. We worked together and man she was one of the most hardworking individuals I have met. She gave me an awesome opportunity to take pictures for the university. I'll forever be grateful of those times. I was saddened to hear the news. I will cherish every memory I have of her. God Bless her family and friends. May God always have you all in His hands. Rest In Peace my Sweet Friend
