Yolanda A. Riojas

With profound love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Yolanda A. Riojas, who entered eternal rest on June 28, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on September 6, 1946, in Laredo, Texas, to Manuel and Guadalupe Longoria.
Yolanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Joe F. Riojas; her parents; her precious granddaughter, Jaylyn Gutierrez; and her beloved sisters, Virginia Valdez and Dolores Martinez.
Yolanda spent many years operating an in-home daycare, where she lovingly helped raise and shape the lives of countless children. Her nurturing heart, vibrant personality, and deep dedication to others touched everyone who knew her. Yolanda was the heart of every gathering - she found joy in laughter, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. Her spirit was joyful, her love generous, and her presence unforgettable.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her children: Michelle Fischer, Misty Denis and husband Clarence, Marisela Gutierrez and husband Eric, and Jose Riojas and wife Angela. She is also survived by her sister, Lisa Longoria; brother, Manuel Longoria; and her treasured grandchildren: Daniel Denis, Jordan and Joylyn Gutierrez, Elaina & Joey Riojas. Yolanda's memory will also be forever carried by numerous extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.
Yolanda's warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:45 A.M. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 for a 10:30 A.M. graveside service at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
