Yvonna Glennidean Anderson, 87, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
Glennidean was born January 17, 1938, in Cherryvale, Kansas to Yvonna Josephine Field and Glen Harold George. She was raised by Josephine and stepfather, Jack Easley. She loved Jack; he treated her well and was the only father she knew.
Glennidean graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1956. She led a life as a Homemaker and was devoted to raising her children. Her family was her main focus in life.
Glennidean married Albert Newton "Pete" Anderson on July 8, 1956. They were married by Glennidean's grandfather, Reverend J.E. Stark. They parented three children: Marcia Deal, Carl Anderson, and Jeffrey Anderson. Later in 1972, Pete and Glennidean built their home, and she loved it until the day she died. Pete preceded Glennidean in death on May 6, 2023.
Glennidean loved attending Navy ship reunions with Pete. She especially loved serving as a host at Down Under Campground in Turney, Missouri, where she was affectionately called Jellybean. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren visiting the campground, playing Bingo, and watching her grandchildren dance at the Saturday night dances. Glennidean enjoyed puzzles, reading, playing cards, collecting lighthouses, and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Glennidean and Pete were longtime members of Woodland Baptist Church, and the church meant the world to her. Glennidean loved listening to old hymns, her favorites being The Old Rugged Cross, In the Garden, and He Walks with Me.
Glennidean is survived by brother Everett Easley (Elizabeth); daughter Marcia Deal (Jim) of Excelsior Springs; son Jeffrey Anderson (Kelly) of Excelsior Springs. Grandchildren: Ryan Deal, Derek Deal, Briana Deal, Curtis Anderson, Crystal Anderson, Tonnie Peoples (Brandon), and Jacob Anderson, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Glennidean in death were her parents, stepfather Jack Easley, two older sisters who passed in infancy, beloved husband, Pete Anderson, son Carl Anderson, and granddaughter Janelle Wynn.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11AM at Zion (1800 US 69 Hwy Excelsior Springs, MO) with memorial service to follow at Noon. Graveside service will immediately follow at Mount Zion Cemetery (10726 Hwy H Liberty, MO).
